This is where overclocking needs to be preformed from. Maybe down the line! :) Are you still getting BSOD? I have never seen it. Or you can go set multiplier higher etc and startover etc.

Unless you are doing some sort of number crunching or multi threaded program to do renderings or MATLAB, you shouldn't be pushing an overclock thinking there will be some sort of Now here are the tools to find out. But it doesn't seem to happen at stock CPU speeds.

  • Before I even updated the BIOS, I loaded default factory settings then I updated the BIOS.
  • I ordered the parts from Newegg and constructed them myself.
  • To expedite this process, and put all chips (no pun intended) on the table, conduct burn-in testing when the system is not overclocked.
  • You may be over-volting your CPU or RAM.
  • It's no longer freezing.
  • There must have been vdroop.

Budget models from other brands tend to be terrible. There's just so many things you could tweak to find the right balance for stability. Go ahead and disable it to run Minitoolbox then re-enable it again. Several functions may not work.

I had faulty RAM but got it replaced and it worked fine for a few months, but now it is starting to crash again.
